Athletes from around the area as well as different parts of the world performed
at the highest level and put on a great spectacle for those attending. Though
great matches were had and the begining of something special was witnessed,
F.I.G.H.T-1 did not exactly go out on a high note.
I was born on the independents, I made my name on the independents. I spent two years in ECW, but I didnt forget where I came from. Steve Corino
Facebook or YouTube, you know exactly what we're talking about. What started as
a great speech by Steve Corino turned in to a bitter act of unsportsmanlike
conduct at the hands of Bill Bain. The Thurmont, Maryland native assaulted Steve
Corino from behind right after "The King of Old School" shook his hand and
complimented him on giving a "good fight." Bain then proceeded to tell Corino
that Shepherdstown was "his town" and that he "didnt give a damn what he
[Corino] thought of him." Bains actions reportedly had F.I.G.H.T officials
I dont give a damn where you've been you Son of a Bitch. You're in my town now. - Bill Bain
However, Bill has also been known to be a professional, and has always treated
accomplished veterans with respect. "If you would have told me that was how
Steve's speech was going to end, I would have called you a liar" said F.I.G.H.T
Senior Official David Repp. He later added "that was completely unexpected, even
coming from Bain." F.I.G.H.T Officials are currently looking in to disciplinary
action to file against Bain.
After the match, Corino demanded another match with Bain, which F.I.G.H.T
Officials are currently in the process of working out the details for a said
rematch. Corino-Bain 2 will likely occur sometime in the spring due to prior
commitments on both Corino and Bain's end.
You people paid to see me. So congradulations, you got what you paid for.- Bill Bain
Shepherdstown, WV. He has demanded the Main Event match according to F.I.G.H.T
officials, stating that he "only wrestles in Main Events and nothing else."
While we have yet to see if F.I.G.H.T officials will oblige and give Bain the
Main Event, we do know that Bains opponent will be someone who F.I.G.H.T
officials feel can take the man formerly known as the "One Man Warning" to his
limit. The Main Event of F.I.G.H.T-2 will be announced on NEW YEARS DAY and if
it is anything like the main event of F.I.G.H.T-1, it is sure to be epic.
