What makes F.I.G.H.T different from every other wrestling show in the area? Brian H.- Hagerstown, MD
There are numerous things that make F.I.G.H.T different from the other promotions in the area. What will stand out the most to area wrestling fans is the production value, first and foremost. This will look and feel exactly like a wrestling event that you would watch on television. That means the lighting, video, and setting of an event that you would see from a national promotion. Basically, a home grown promotion with a big time feel. Its something that hasn't been done in the area before. We are proud to be the first promotion to bring this to a local live event.
Will there be any wrestling legends or Superstars making appearances in F.I.G.H.T? Josh W.- Waynesboro, PA
Eventually, yes. We do plan on bringing in those types of talents as special guests from time to time. However, our primary focus is independent talent. We plan to bring some of the very best talent in the country to F.I.G.H.T Events as well as talent looking to get to the next level of their careers. No matter if they're unknown or well-known, the talent will be top-quality. We want people to look back on every event and know that they saw a future superstar or two in the making.
What is the deal with the F.I.G.H.Ter's showcase divisions? Steven B- Greencastle, PA
The F.I.G.H.Ter's Showcase matches were designed to test the all-around skill of each wrestler in F.I.G.H.T. Early on, we wanted to separate the contenders from the pretenders quickly. Pitting wrestlers in match situations that they normally would not encounter was one of the ways we decided to do that. On a national level, size usually dictates how well a wrestler will do. Here in F.I.G.H.T, we wanted to showcase the pound-4-pound best athletes rather than just "jacked up" former football players. The showcase matches help us do that.
With the showcase matches, a 6'6", 260 lb athlete can considerably find himself in a high-flyers showcase, which caters to a faster, more conditioned and agile athlete. An athlete who performs more high-risk maneuvers and a faster paced offense could conceivably find himself in a Technical Showcase Match, which caters to a no-nosense, methodical style. An exceptional and disciplined technical wrestler could find himself in a Grappler's Showcase, where there essentially are no rules. At the end of the day, we expect to see an athlete who can perform any and every style of wrestling at a moment's notice to emerge and raise the bar for the competition as a result of the F.I.G.H.Ters Showcase Matches.
I noticed that you are advertising this event as a Live Broadcast Taping. Is this event being aired on TV? Michael A. - Martinsburg, WV
Right now, we can only say so much. We are taping this event in a Television format for a reason. There are several things being worked out right now which will be made public within the next month. We can't comment too much on what exactly that is quite yet, but we will say that future broadcasts are being planned.
